Setting up your Guatemala eSIM at the airport

Before you fly

• Purchase your preferred Guatemala eSIM package.
• Install the eSIM over Wi‑Fi at home or in the lounge using the QR code we email you.
• Check that mobile data works on your main SIM in case you need a backup at arrival.

When you land in Guatemala

1. Turn off airplane mode once the plane has parked and it is safe to do so.
2. Go to your phone's mobile or cellular settings and select the Guatemala eSIM line you installed earlier.
3. Set the eSIM as your data line and enable data roaming for that line.
4. Wait a few moments while your device connects to the local network. You should see signal bars and a data indicator.

The plan's validity period starts when the eSIM first connects to a supported network in Guatemala, not when you buy or install it.

Common issues and quick fixes

• No signal yet? Toggle airplane mode off and on, or briefly disable and re‑enable the eSIM line.
• Still offline? Make sure data roaming is enabled specifically for the Guatemala eSIM line.
• Very slow speeds? Move closer to windows or out of underground areas where signal is weaker.
